Tomorrow is National Recreational Sports & Fitness Day. The sponsor, NIRSA (National Intramural Recreational Sports Association), has a message for all involved in campus recreation: “It’s your day. Celebrate it your way.” What are your plans for tomorrow?
NIRSA was founded on February 22, 1950 and members voted to create this day in 1999 as a way of celebrating the positive benefits of recreational sports, fitness, and wellness. NIRSA now includes 4,000 professional, student and associate members throughout the United States, Canada and other countries. Those members serve more than five million students who regularly participate in campus recreational sports programs.

Everyone makes mistakes but some really make mistakes. This article is about those social media users who went above and beyond with their faux pas posts. Whether it’s a big brand or public figure that writes from the wrong account or posts something beyond debatable, simply deleting the content doesn’t cut it these days. It’s time to check-in with this whole Foursquare thing. Now, I understand that it’s hard enough to keep up with social media from Facebook‘s changes to Google throwing it’s hat into the social ring, but Foursquare is unique for rec departments.
