Canada’s Third Largest Gymnastics Federation Selects ActiveCommunities’ Software Solution to Centralize Data and Improve Communications with Members

September 5, 2008 – The Alberta Gymnastics Federation (AGF), a non-profit, volunteer-directed agency comprised of recreational and competitive gymnastics clubs throughout Alberta, has selected ActiveCommunities, a division of The Active Network, Inc., to provide gymnastics software to its clubs. AGF is the first sport governing body to use the web-based software to centralize club and member data throughout the province.

With ActiveCommunities, AGF has the ability to integrate and centralize data for 92 clubs and more than 35,000 members. Five clubs are in the process of implementing the software solution, with many others expected by the end of 2008. For AGF clubs, the software’s automated, online capabilities will alleviate manual, paper-based administrative processes and redundancies, allowing clubs and its members to take advantage of online registration for recreational and competitive gymnastics programs, while also providing AGF members with convenient and secure online registration and payment options.
